Is It Possible To Make A Home Made, High Abv Brew Using Beer Kits? (malt Extract)?

I Want To Make A High Alcohol Brew, That Has Good Taste But, Somewhere In The 8 To 10% Range. Is This Possible Using A Kit? I'm New To Brewing And The Kit Is The Way I Would Like To Go For My First Few Brews. Any Help Or Information Would Be Nice. Possibly Even A Recipe? Thanks!
